Hello there, I'm Abigayle!

I am a girl with a camera, a vision, and a passion! I have always been a logical thinker with an artistic side, expressed in many ways over the years through dance, piano, singing, and the visual arts.

When I am not behind the camera, you can find me refining my craft of singing opera, teaching others how to better their voice, or managing my alma mater's (Cleveland Institute of Music's) digital media presence. As you can tell, I wear many hats!

I love coffee (cream and sugar, please), Ben Rector (bonus points if you can find my official shoutout to him on this website), Gilmore Girls (I have watched the entire series multiple times), and hanging with my husband, Curtis.

How it started...

One spring day in 2010, I was laying on the floor of our foyer with my mom's point-and-shoot camera, trying to capture something to enter in a local competition. I snapped this photo and was stunned at how something so simple could be so beautiful.

Fast forward to my senior year of high school, when my grandmother gifted me with a stunning Canon Rebel t5 (Hank!!) and I could not put it down. I joined the school yearbook and took photos everywhere I went. When I moved away to college, however, Hank sat around in the camera bag most of the time, collecting dust. My sophomore year, I decided that that needed to change. I signed up for the Honors College magazine and developed my skills. The next semester, I was voted editor and was given the privilege to oversee a team of 9 photographers covering stories on and off campus. Then in the spring of 2018, I launched my business: Abigayle Elise Photography.

How it's going...

After basing my business in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for 2.5 years, I packed my things and moved north to Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland is such a beautiful city and I am thrilled to have the honor of serving this new community!

I love any opportunity to get behind the lens, but if I could shoot one type of session for the rest of my life, it would be your standard portrait session. We go into the session with a general outline, but the real art is made when we begin collaborating— combining your personal style (expressed in your choice of clothing and personality) with creative angles and backgrounds.

I am excited to meet you and hear your story. Shoot me a message and let's get out there!

Testimonials

If you want wonderful photos, you need to get a photo session with Abigayle. She was so helpful with showing different ways to pose, and captured amazing photos, despite the weather being less than ideal.

I wasn't sure what to expect when going into the session, because I have never worked with a professional photographer before. However, Abigayle made me feel at ease and was very helpful at guiding me through poses and angles. It was overall a great experience and I am happy I chose her to take my first ever headshots!
